In terms of "never draw so close to the heat that you forget that you must eat (oh wuh oh)", I have always assumed that 'the heat' here is a metaphor for love.
But why is it called En Gallop!? That is what I have always wondered.

I always saw that line as kind of an indictment of asceticism or the whole "starving artist" image. Like, "don't get so lost in your artistic pursuits that you forget how to live in the real world."

That's why I love MEM - the words are obvious but still interpret-able in a number of ways (sometimes Ys feels a bit obtuse and un-solvable).

On reviewing all the stuff for the JNST, I have spotted three small errors that crept into my workings. I thought I should declare these here, in case anyone else was checking:

1. A couple of scores were incorrectly recorded in Round 4, either because I mis-counted (probably) or because a vote was edited and I missed it (less likely). In no case was the outcome affected, and in all cases the correct figure was carried forward to the calculation of Round 5 Bonus Points. The corrections were -
Group 1 - Only Skin 17, Have One On Me 4, ... (not 18-3-...)
Group 3 - In California 13.1, ... , Baby Birch* 2.1 (not 12.1-...-3.1)

2. In my introduction to Round 5, I stated that each song would carry forward a maximum of 20 bonus points, but I meant to say "maximum of 10". I have corrected the original posting.

3. Esme and Yarn & Glue were drawn together in both Round 1 (Group 20) and Round 2 (Group 13), contrary to the rules I set out at the start.

Since no-one noticed, I hope that there won't be a groundswell to declare the whole thing void and start it again!

PS - Voting on Round 5 (Set 3) is only open for about another 32 hours. If anyone's still busy writing little reviews for me, it'd be great to have them in by then, or at least by Sunday night, so I can prepare the final two sets. Thank you!
