this is how i picture her in my mind whenever i think about her as a person (if that makes sense?). it's not that i struggle to disassociate her from the 'ethereal sprite' label she's been landed with, it's just that it's really striking how she presented herself back in the MEM / Ys era. you can see there's something very powerful about her, but it's quite subtle, almost unnoticeable when you first lay eyes on her.
i know she talked a fair amount in interviews from back then about how she had 'a troubled relationship with reality', or something to the same effect... it kind of shows though. i don't know whether it's shyness or not, but she looks quite distant in many of the photos from those times, as though she was wandering aroud in some sort of fog of... i don't know... knowing, maybe?
i am aware i'm sounding like the creepiest fan alive right now, and im probably reading way too much into a bunch of photographs that were probably just rushed press snaps for the most part, but yes; that's what they communicate to me.

i never liked that headband she used to wear. but i totally love the evolution of her look. i like how refined it's gotten, i like how she has all these gorgeous dresses. heh.

I like pretty much everything I've seen her wear, although there were possibly a few outfits that weren't very flattering. I'd have to go back and review all of her pictures to find the 'bad' ones. But, I'm not going there. I prefer to continue thinking of her looking good.
