Opening night of the tour and the band and Joanna were on! JN wore a "retro black Chanel dress from the
80s" Her hair up in a bun, black strapped heels, and diamond earrings added the fine trimmings of the opening evening.
With the harp having brand new strings we had the pleasure of an extended tuning break wih lots of banter and back and forth with the crowd- at one point Neal suggested Andy do a trombone solo which egged the crowd on to get him to do it
There were no surprises with the setlist and the highlight for me was Go Long - at the end Joanna seemed to melt in the harp as if she was completely emotionally exhausted

Got to chat with Ryan and Neal a bit about the party tomorrow night in Phoenix

Kingfisher and Go Long, lucky you! That's a good setlist, though it's very similar to the setlists from her performances in August. I hope she plays some songs that she didn't play when I saw her then. If she doesn't, though, what right do I have to complain? I get to see her two times this month
