Yeah I can agree with you on some of the hipster stuff for sure, and I find I often don't think much of especially Pitchfork's top lists anyway, but I'm so excited for hip hop 2014, I mean Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, (and Kanye and maybe this Chance the rapper guy too though I haven't properly given him a listen yet). I'll just say Kendrick once more.

Definitely give Chance the Rapper a listen. I'm not much into hiphop, but Acid Rap was my favourite album of the year. He's an ingenious lyricist.

I must say from this year I quite enjoyed Earl Sweatshirt's Doris as well, and on the non-hiphop side of things I was quite impressed with Loud City Song and enjoyed Shaking the Habitual and Sunbather too.

After 3.5 years and 80,000+ views - s few days ago, DISNEY contacted YouTube to say the "You and Me Bess" from Jimmy Kimmel live was in copyright infringement.

I have the original video and will be re-upping it to VIMEO and other services.

Here is what I don't understand...

the whole friggin video is one big ad for Budweiser beer anyway...it is a commercial unto itself.
My sharing it with those 80K only got the promotional ads paid for by Budweiser further and more lasting impressions.
Idiots.
