My best friend was able to capture audio on his iphone of the first new song she played, as well as 'look and despair'. He will send them to me later tonight, though I don't promise a quality recording.
Two new songs, both great. Also got both Look and Despair and The Diver's Wife which sounded excellent. People annoyingly cheered in the middle of songs a lot but the sound was great. A dude literally fainted right next to me at the end of Sawdust & Diamonds which was scary! But he was ok. Maybe he was just SUPER into it.

The first new song was on the harp and it had very cool instrumentation. There were some lyrics about riding a horse, and a lot about the sky. The lyrics were more narrative, in the vein of Monkey & Bear.
The second new one was on piano and at least seemed to be pretty short. More straightforward lyrics. I would compare it to Occident maybe.
Both had a more folky vibe. Hopefully there will be videos soon! I saw lots of cameras.

She really went for it with the high notes at the end of Look and Despair to the point that a few of them she was pretty much actually screaming. It was awesome.

someone from tumblr is working on uploading at least one new song on youtube right now, and posted a small excerpt on their blog, here:http://ezrakoequeen.tumblr.com/
I know it's really easy to hear and it's a 17 second clip, but transcribing previously-unknown Joanna Newsom lyrics is basically my favorite hobby, so why not:
In December of that year, the word came down that she was here.
The days were shorter. I was sure if she came round, I’d hold my ground.
I'm so angry at Pitchfork. Why on earth would they tell me everything would be livestreamed when it clearly wasn't? I don't understand..... I didn't have WiFi at the time so I wouldn't have been able to watch it anyway, but I feel bad for getting everyone all excited for nothing. Sorry guys. At least we have audience recordings! Thank you so much to everyone who recorded anything!
