It would be difficult for me to pick out a favorite from the Carpenters, but the two you named would be high on the list of possibles. My own feelings for the Carpenters are tied to loves I've lost or never found. That's why I only listen to them in tiny doses. I don't want to encourage a regrowth of sadness that I've managed to put behind me. Now, I mainly feel just a warm sense of nostalgia when I hear them. I wish you luck in achieving the same.
