It's a long one and probably the best of the bunch.

When I first glanced over these two posts, I thought for a moment that, unbeknownst to me, the Forum had started a new fashion of using bird names to begin a post with! :D

Yes, a wonderful interview! I wonder whether we will ever hear the song that was cut?

Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney

"AC: What fandoms do you find yourself in today?

CB: So many, but I guess a few would be Kendrick Lamar. I think he’s probably put out the best album of the year with To Pimp A Butterfly. I’m also a huge fan of Joanna Newsom’s new album, Divers. I think any year she releases an album is a good year."

interesting.
I loathe this article.

This alone makes me cringe:

"She’s often portrayed either as a twee, “elfin” hippie chick or as an “ethereal” harp-and-heart-strings-plucking siren"

Really? Say it ain't so...are we back in 2010?

By often, this author links all 3 phrases to an article from...9 YEARS AGO! How OFTEN is that?

Then lies and claims the next line where an author uses the phrase "taps into the ether" to claim that called her an ethereal siren? HUH? way to perpetuate a stereotype by making a lie up...

Then there is the whole missing the point of what the cover is (IE: watch the DIVERS video), a photo that is an artificial environment, an art piece - not a natural landscape...

Sorry don't have the time to translate the whole thing right now but there's an interesting fact at the end of that video - when filming the Divers video they had to wait around 4hrs for Kim Keever to set up each shot, so while Jo and Paul Thomas Anderson were waiting Paul said that they should go outside and film a second video, and that was how the Sapokonikan video came about.
