So I picked up "I See A Darkness" just after it came out and truly loved it, but then I never pursued checking him out any further. I'd love to check out another album or two. Any suggestions out there? Doesn't have to be similar to "I see A Darkness", maybe what's considered his seminal work. Thanks a million!
He got more country (my bastardised british view of country, that is) as the albums got on, I found. I love I See A Darkness and The Letting Go (though I can't stand a couple songs on that album... the one about being damp?) but Lie Down in The Light and after don't do it for me.
There was a time Will could do no wrong for me. I truly love everything up 'til The Letting Go. I do enjoy a lot of Americana but for Will, less really is more.

Somehow I missed this post until now. I would love to show off my skills, but sadly I've lost them. Lower back problems have made things like that a bit too difficult for me now. However, back in the day while I was a soldier, I would occasionally get comments like "Way to go, Sergeant Davis!" while warming up the hips prior to exercise. I embarassed the hell out of a female 2nd Lieutenant who yelled that out, and followed it with "Where'd you learn to move your hips like that?" I responded with "Practice, ma'am. Lots of practice."
