THIS IS NOT MY TUNE / Cabaret?

non-JN music discussions

Postby ursulabear on 12 Jun 2010, 23:17

I loooove dark cabaret music. Esp. Tiger Lillies and Humanwine, and Vermillion lies. any recommendations?

Of course, I have one aim, the grotesque. If I am not grotesque I am nothing.

I, for one, like the Dresden Dolls. And though it's not directly related to their music, I love how accessible Amanda Palmer is to fans.

Another Amanda fan here! I don't like her recent album though. I like her best on piano.

Have fun Sadie!

Thanks! Yeah, her latest really divided her fans. There's a new post on her blog about that, you should check it out.

To each his own. Have you heard Amanda Palmer's first solo album? There's less angst and more depth. Try 'The Point Of It All'. Please listen to it before listening to 'Oasis'.

Sorry it's just not my thing really. Apart from J-New I pretty much only listen to Electronic and Dance music. Aside from a few others I find really special; The National, Beach House, Spiritualized, and a few more.

I like The National. Haven't heard any of Spiritualized and haven't heard much of Beach House.
