Oh lord! That's pretty mean. I read that tripe the Daily Mail posted about her looking like a "soccer mom" (Wtf? Can't you leave our country to americanise at the natural rate?) and was pretty livid. She's gorgeous imo, and 50WFS is an absolute triumph. I didn't realise it before, but it's definitely among my favorite releases of 2011.

There are rumours going around that Kate is directing a video for a remix version of Running Up That Hill. Apperently it will feature actor Jude Law in a samurai costume

This is the strangest thing I've heard all year.

And he used to make me pray, wearing a mask like a death's head. When he put me there in the back seat, and he said, "Jesus save me, Jesus save me."

It seems it's for a new "Best of" kind of CD

Kate Bush "Revisiting The Whole Story [CD/DVD]" (22 tracks and limited double CD/DVD featuring 35 videos; producer: Bush; first single: "Running Up That Hill 2012") (Fish People/EMI, November 2012)

Kate entered the UK charts at number 6 with R.U.T.H. (A Deal With God) 2012 Remix that was played in the closing ceremony of the Olympics and made available as download.

Yeah, I love the new version of Running Up That Hill!

Except I watched the stupid closing ceremony waiting for it to come on only to find that NBC cut that whole bit out of their broadcast.

I am having a Kate Bush renaissance. I have always loved her, and my favorite album by FAR is 'The Dreaming'. I have been listening to it for years and there are still so many things to discover. I've enjoyed 'Hounds of Love', but mostly just listen to the title track and "The Big Sky" a lot. Never paid much attention to the back side of the album.

Well, this past weekend, I discovered THE NINTH WAVE.

I saw that the second section had its own cool-as-fuck title, remember it being kind of weird (never paid specific attention to it), and decided it was time. I rolled up a fat joint and blasted it from the speakers during a long car drive I had, and what a fucking amazing trip! The whole thing is so amazing, and the songs flow into each other so amazingly. "Dream of Sheep" was pretty, but "Under Ice" is when I realized something really special was going on. The sonics of that song really pull you in, and the words are so poetic and vivid. After that, "Waking the Witch" came on, and it just kept getting crazier and crazier. I was totally and deeply involved in this album like I haven't been for years (likely since HOOM came out). And don't even get me started on the "Jig of Life" / "Hello Earth" one-two punch. I'm really excited to keep listening to this and get deeper into The Ninth Wave! After the experiences I've had with 'The Dreaming', this appears to be incredibly promising!

There's nothing quite so exciting as discovering new music from an artist you've loved for years.

Enough of this terror, we deserve to know light.

It's been such a long time I've not been posting here, allthough I sometimes come in here to "get the news"... :) Hope everyone's fine in "Milky Moon"'s Den!

Juste to tell you Kate Bush has just been made CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) by the Queen today:

"Now I've got something really special to put on top of the Christmas tree."

 So Kate Bush!

Hi dwaink! Hope everything's fine for you.

I'll be more eloquent when Miss Newsom will release something new (which I really long for allthough Miss Bush taught me it was worth being patient... ). I don't like her cover version of that Sandy Denny song, don't care about her being engaged or what she's wearing (allthough I appreciate her being so elegant in a quirky way), just wait for a new album and Joanna coming back to France with comfidence. I know that will be good! :)

Back here for the event (as Joanna doesn't seem to give any news...). Of course I was delighted and amazed by these wonderful news. Some rumours had been circulating for a while about some event to happen very soon but I'm pretty sure no-one dared to think about a string of concerts... KB admirers are all (positively) shocked by this.

Of course, like thousands people, I'll try to get my tickets for this historical event. I'm trying to keep cool at the idea I might not have the chance to be part of the lucky ones, but I just can't imagine I'll miss it. That would be so unfair!

KB fans who subscribed to her website all received an email giving them the opportunity to buy tickets 2 days before the D-Day, with a personal code to submit and I was lucky enough to be part of this process. This increases my chances to join the shebang. I hope I will!

Good luck to all of those here who'll try to be part of it! :)

Do you think there's any chance at least one of these shows will be recorded w video in a legit manner? Not sure if I'll be able to make it/afford it, but even watching it on a screen would be better than nothing in this case! Also, do you think she'll debut some new material, or release a new album in the coming year and a half?
Actually, something about that photo above really freaks me out when it's scrolled to the left so her face is just not visible (on my zoom settings anyway) :/

it will be the great rush. even those who received the presale code are not sure to obtain the holy grail.

as it said in the email the number of tickets reserved is limited and they will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

it will be obviously unfair for someone. good luck to everyone.
