i love the contrast between them :D it needed something dirty/disturbing or it would have been TOO sweet.

also, he's just about the nicest person ever, HUGE sense of humor :) i've been working with him for 10 years, and he just became deputy mayor on Iceland. i love that such things can happen over there.

Cannot abide her or her music.

The only brief seconds on 'Ys' I do not love with all my heart are when Joanna sounds a little like her (mainly on Sawdust and Diamonds).

I never got round to getting an album besides Vespertine, but I've been listening today and the album is growing on me. Very slowly.

NPRs Top 50 Voices
Bjork: A Celestial Voice

Although this list holds little credibility when Neko Case & Lauryn Hill are nominated, but not Kate Bush?

Maybe I was just in a bad mood when I watched it, but when I saw Dancer in the Dark (pretty much my first experience with Bjork besides a little interview I saw once and half-heartedly listening to a song or two) I got to the point where I skipped all the musical parts. I absolutely couldn't stand to watch or hear her sing.

So many people I respect really adore Bjork, but after that film, I just really cannot get into her at all. I don't even have a good reason.

haha, you know, i'm a huge fan, but i only saw ditd once, i bought the bo but not the movie and i've to admit i never paid so much attention to the music...

early work's good, in an other mood, try "post"it's the most powerful album, it gives energy and joy.

I loved Dancer in the Dark, including the musical parts! <3 But that doesn't mean everyone has to love it too or I won't like them.
