THE FRAY / Signs That I Have a Life

off topic chattery

This is a place to write about things you do to avoid rotting away in front of your computer or television. I suppose we could also include excessive reading and other indoor activities which keep you from going out to interact with other living beings.

does working count....i waste so much time there that could be better spent gaming....i opined on it in the 70's:

Tommorow i must work again

as i did
the day before
as i will
the day after
and perhaps ten
thousand more
It's only natural i
suppose
the only way thats
right
but oh the chances
i will lose
and all of those i might

sheesh milky thats some cleavage on yer friend there

The thing i like best about deciphering Joanna's songs...i'm always wrong.

I'm winter sowing a bunch of seeds in milk jugs this month. I'll make a list when I have a sec.

dwain, I think that "cleavage" might be a requirement for having a name like "dirty martini".

I have nothing quite so titillating to report--pun intended--but I have been to several art fairs or festivals over the last month. The first was in Fountain Hills AZ a few weeks ago. I got a close-up look at the famous/infamous Sheriff Joe Arpaio signing autographs. He was surrounded by some of the scariest looking bodyguards that I have ever seen. Then, as we were leaving the festival, we came across the booth of Bill Mast. The next half-hour or so was spent learning about some of the exciting places and events he encountered during his travels around the world, like being in Iran during the revolution that overthrew the Shah. By the time we finished talking, every other booth was closed and we were among the last to leave.

The next weekend we went to the art festival in Scottsdale. Nothing in particular stood out, but there was lots of great food and music.

Yesterday we went to the art fair in Tempe on Mill Avenue. More great food, and lots of beautiful art, none of which I can afford.

Gerritson, I have been addicted to some internet sites. The worst was a place called milkymoon. I felt compelled to check in multiple times each day, just in case there was something new about Joanna Newsom...you do know who she is, right?...anyway, some new bootlegged music or video, magazine articles, photographs, or whatever. Now I just drop in for a few minutes when I'm at the computer, but more to interact with the people than in anticipation over something that Joanna might do. I no longer have any expectations there.

My main interest online now is to find new things to read or watch, things like books and magazines, and movies or TV shows. There is a lot out there if you know how to find it. Arrr, matey!

dirty martini hasn't any cleavage, she was mostly boobs free, as she was on stage half an hour before totally naked with dollars in her ass :)
i wish there is more art fair in my city but we only have ones, art is really boring and the food is outrageous.

Yes! Kids and flowers! We'll see how the garden goes though. I'd love a cottage garden out here in the forest. But I have a brownish green thumb.

Of course, I have one aim, the grotesque. If I am not grotesque I am nothing.
