I'm on the last episode of BSG. Watching it maybe tomorrow. The second last one Daybreak pt 1, the scene where Laura is on Caprica after finding out her family have died. I cried so much. So much.
I don't know how it is in the rest of the world, but in the US some the networks broadcast a few episodes of a show, and then they take a break for a few months before continuing with the season. Caprica is one of the shows affected by this very annoying practice. No, a new season has not begun for Caprica...but, there has been a continuation of Season One. They are now up to episode 12.
How it devolved into philosophizing rather than shooting robots, mostly.
(yes thats devolution). The best episode was the first, imo. The opera house thing had no real climax, killing Kara was pointless, and the All Along The Watchtower bit was just embarassing. As was Adama going shitballs with paint.
But it was always about philosophizing more than shooting robots. I really disagree with everything you said, I found as the series went on it only gained intellectual depth and emotional power. Pretty much the most flawless show I've ever seen.
Fair enough, though the majority of BSG fans would disagree with you about it getting better as it went along. I guess I was just hoping that the show wouldn't end based mainly on the stupid frakking god plot.
But hey, I got my payoff in Tyrol strangling Tory. That was awesome. Bitch.
