Tomorrow I'll not be going to lectures in solidarity if I sleep till after 11 AM, because they work out at £80 each but also I'm not going to set an alarm.

I mean, if you work it out by dividing up the fees for the amount of contact time we get with teachers, it works out that a lecture is worth £80 of fees. There was a strike on and I would feel bad about throwing away £80, so I just didn't set an alarm, hoping I'd sleep through the lecture anyway.

I have to admit that british are much more inventive than french. I lived in Paris during 8 years. I can tell you that underground french strikers are not funny at all. :sure:

We have more strikes starting this week, so should be fun

But deep inside it's exciting! London turns into a zombie apocalypse. zombie people wondering around, not really knowing what to do.

I sympathize and I am sorry. in Paris taxi drivers go on strike, they try to block the traffic. what a wonderful world !

The strike was cancelled in the end. I doubt it would have worked, I feel bad for them.
