The Complete Sagas Of Icelanders - 5 wonderful volumes from Reykjavík, translated into English [I did toy with learning Icelandic, it's a fascinating and beautiful language, but time and lack of staying power were against me]: I've read many of the Sagas before as Penguin Classics, but it's lovely to have a consistently translated and presented set.
The Music Of The Primes (Marcus Du Sautoy) - a little popular maths for when I wake each morning. Sadly, I have nearly finished it.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (ed. Robert Dimery) - one page at a time, and nearly done.
With two more lined up -
The Gallows Curse (Karen Maitland) - because I have enjoyed her other two books; one is a novel of the plague years, and that was an interest of mine for a time.
A Year In The Merde (Stephen Clarke) - was given to me, as if I needed any more evidence to fuel my abhorence of the EU!
The Bowler's Holding, The Batsman's Willey (Geoff Tibballs) - Light hearted sporting anecdotes.
Eagerly awaited -
Another of Tove Jansson's books for adults to be translated into English. They're extraordinary!

You must be Scandinavian, Steve. Or a least a Scania-/Svea-phile. Tove Jansson is spectacular. You might like Elsa Beskow. And the sagas are so great! I have the Havamal on my wall, too.
