I do agree with Jessie that I felt uneasy about downloading a piece that was meant for charity, and am glad that Wanbli provided a link to the donation site. I wonder if the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center realise that they have a very marketable commodity on their hands, and thet they could probably raise a few quid by selling this. (Unfortunately your original link isn't working for the high quality WAV file
but I did manage to find a lesser quality one, an MP3 @ ~250, which is quite listenable).
Thank you also for the link to the Tom Bombadil ringtone, Wanbli. Was this 32 second clip the whole piece, or is that a part of a longer song? And did she perform any other songs on Portlandia? And is there any way that you could provide a link to the actual sound file so that I (and others in backwaters like the UK who can't see the Portlandia stuff) can keep a copy. I can run an audio cable out of my PC and into the AUX of my steroe, and make an analogue recording that way, but it's (a) fiddly and (b) lossy, and it would be sooo much nicer just to download a file (pleeease
) At first I didn't read the site properly, saw the big green DOWNLOAD button and clicked it, thinking this would be it. However, it's a downloader for a toolbar, which brings me out in a cold sweat (have had some bad experiences with those) ... but in the hope that it would bring Tom Bombadil along with it, I went along with it ... but when it had finished downloading and installing ... no toolbar and no sound file.
