Sup guys! First post, but I've been lurking around here for months.
Not sure if this has been discussed already, but I was wondering which song(s) people think is/are the best for introducing people to Joanna's music. I'm making a mix-CD for some friends and want to include some Joanna stuff in hopes of fully converting them.
Basically I'm looking for a few songs that are more easily accessible to those who have never heard her before, but also that are well representative of her overall style. In other words, while a song like Good Intentions is catchy and easily likable, it's pretty different from all of her other stuff. What was the first song that had you sold to Joanna's music?
At first I was thinking something like Peach Plum Pear, as that seems to be her most well-known song, but I'm worried that the MEM voice is going to scare people off ("is this a hoax???? she sounds like a 70 year old lisa simpson!!!" ) before they realize it's awesomeness and beauty. So is something from HOOM a better bet? I'm torn.
