I just looked to see if I have that show in Austin. Over 350 recordings, and none are from that show. That should make it perfectly clear that I am really not a fan any more.

Geez I thought I was doing well with 100 or so shows. Hmm

Actually, I was speaking of individual songs, not shows. Has she done that many shows?

Grooveshark has very good quality audio of the famous 2006 Unitarian Church performance in which none of the songs are split up (like on youtube).

However, I can't find a download of the concert. I really just need the performance of "Emily," and it would be fantastic if anyone can upload it. Anyone?

Hello,

I've recorded a Joanna Newsom show in Budapest in january 2011. I wasn't going to share this, as it is not so great quality, but now I think someone might be interested, so here's the link:

joanna_budapest.zip (441.5 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!KVxECZTR!VpfiHQ9v9 ... PKPB_l9QJk

Info:
====

Joanna Newsom
29.1.2011
Palace Of Arts
Budapest
Hungary

Source: Cowon iAudio 9 built-in mic (lossy 256kbit WMA) -> GoldWave (slight de-hiss) -> flac
Taper: Ondrej Bouda, Czech Republic (ondrej.bouda@gmail.com)

Notes:
-------

A beautiful venue, amazing sound, great setlist, bad equipment:) Recorded with portable mp3 player's built-in mic for my own archive. However, as there is no other source I decided to share this.

Slightly de-hissed in GoldWave editor and converted to flac (didn't want to reencode to another lossy format once more).

Might seem very quiet in the beginning, but wait for the louder parts (there's actually slight clipping occasionally).

Note the funny sneeze Joanna makes between Soft as Chalk and Monkey & Bear:)

Last performance of trombonist Andy Strain with Joanna (at least on this tour, she said so during the concert).

Included:
----------

* audio
* photos by Piotr Lewandowski
* two videos (Good Intentions Paving Company and incomplete Colleen) from YouTube

Tracklist:
-----------

1. (intro)
2. Bridges and Balloons
3. Have One On Me
4. Easy
5. Cosmia
6. Inflammatory Writ
7. You and Me, Bess
8. Soft as Chalk
9. (Joanna sneeze:)
10. Monkey & Bear
11. Good Intentions Paving Company
12. Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie
13. (encore 1 applause)
14. Colleen
15. (encore 2 applause)
16. Peach, Plum, Pear

Band:
------

Joanna Newsom - vocals / harp / piano
Ryan Francesconi - guitar / banjo / tambura / recorder / kaval
Neal Morgan - drums / percussion / vocals
Andy Strain - trombone
Véronique Serret - violin / vocals
Mirabai Peart - violin / vocals

There is a 2.67 Gb sized VTS_01 video rip of the 2006 Live at the First Unitarian Church that I recently found available. Its audio is in Dolby AC3 48000Hz 2ch. This has to be better than the divx file version that's around.

Also, anyone know of a quality sound bootleg show that has Ca the Yowes being played? (besides Unitarian Church )

That depends on the divx file, and the source of that video rip you found. I have two versions of the divx show; one at about 85 Mb, the other at about 715 Mb. I also have a DVD of that show, created from the file given to me by the man who recorded the show. That DVD was shared with more than one person from this forum (or the old one). So, unless that 2.67 Gb rip came from the original recording done by the guy at the now defunct eattapes.com, it's probably no better than the larger of the divx files I have. But, if you want to share your source for that recording, I'd be glad to compare them.
