Joanna at the Inherent Vice Hollywood premiere ^_^

Check it out, so Sleater-Kinney's new music video was released today and Andy's got a great little cameo....including what I'm pretty sure is an excellent painting found in the Samberg-Newsom household / computer room. Reminds me of the town I grew up in. Snowy, rural, comforting.

I'm so appreciative of that premiere ensemble. It actually reminds me strangely of one of my favourite books as a child, I Capture The Castle. The rocky colours and the keys, I guess... I'm so, so glad she wore it. I love how her taste has evolved - or emerged - but it's been very gorgeous and vintage-high street lately (not a complaint!), so it's refreshing to glimpse her more fantastical side again.

I found this sweet list of songs from the 70s she loves, one for each year of the decade. I love how emotional she is about music. It's been really fun lately to learn more about her tastes in the recent round of interviews. I've been addicted to Judy Collins' Albatross (and The Blizzard) since she mentioned it.

Can someone help me find an interview that was done with Joanna probably back in 2006-07 ? It was fairly lengthy and I remember the writer goes to her house there is a part where she orders a bacon cheeseburger.

This is kind of old, and a bunch of you have probably already seen it, but in January's newsletter there was a possible Joanna reference in the introduction. I was just rereading emails and stumbled across it.

we've managed to carve out a schedule of releases through the year that give the dedicated listener everything it (it's 2015 people, we've moved beyond gender - trans(inc)endental) ed.) wants and needs - ups, downs, technique, drama, variety, humors, action and of course guitars, basses, drums, flutes, saxes and synths, beats, and yeah, even a harp!

I know that the newsletters usually mean nothing, but hopefully this means there will be an album this year.
