too bad they couldn't figure out how to release this when 'Freak Folk' and Devendra/Vetiver were relevant.

hey guys
I came upon this thread a while ago looking for this film, but ended up buying a copy that I'd be happy to share with anyone who's still trying to track it down. I don't know what the rules are about linking to this sort of thing around here, but if you PM me I can send you a dropbox download link.

Having finally seen the commercially available cut of Family Jams I now see why no one had any clue what I was talking about re: Joanna drunkenly singing Fleetwood Mac - that scene's been cut.
And while my memory is pretty flaky, I definitely didn't imagine it from the Birmingham Flatpack Festival screening. I guess they couldn't afford the rights to include the song for the released version (there's a weird copyright loophole that means you don't have to pay for song rights providing the filmmaker is present when the film is shown - which is why the Wrecking Crew film is also only shown as one-offs with the director present, at the moment). So anyone who wants to see a tipsy Newsom will have to hope for a screening of the uncut version.
Good to see I didn't dream Linda Perhacs being in it. I did, however, dream Vashti being in it. She isn't. If only I'd paid more attention/bootlegged it all on my phone.
