This is a subject that was beaten to death back when she decided to pose in a coyote hat. Many fans were shocked that Joanna doesn't seem to share the idea that animals should never be killed. That doesn't necessarily mean that she does the killing, but then again, maybe she does. Anyway, it's just another example of how little the fans dictate who she is, and what she does or thinks.
I'm pretty sure she owns a pair of taxidermied peacocks, though they are likely back in California and not in NYC (unless, of course, she's moved there). She mentioned once in an interview about HOOM that most or all of the items in the photo on the cover of the album were things which she owns. I think she even made a specific mention of the peacocks.

Ok, so this probably seems like a diss to anyone unfamiliar with this blog...and maybe it for real is. But for those unfamiliar, you have to take everything this guy says with a grain of salt. I just laughed because of Jo's face in that screencap coupled with how stupid the peacock's face looks. I personally would have captioned JOANNA saying something along the lines of "HAYYY GURRRLLL!!" But that's just me. Quackwave. Wtf. Maybe I am just tired, but I laughed like, 6 times at this post. "Do u think Joanna Newsom likes 2 chill behind the dumpster at ur local PETCO?"
